Gutterpunk Blues

about

Gutterpunk Blues: Another instrumental. I play mostly mandolin on this one. Inspired by recent walks through Venice Beach and Berkley, CA, where I saw rich kids in designer clothes begging for change. There was an article in Rolling Stone a few years back about this phenomenon, and it described these kids as “gutterpunks.” I like to think of this song as hillbilly punk with distorted guitars. This song goes out to all the hippies and gutterpunks roaming the world.
